April 2018: Live wrasse fishery consultation

Posted on 13th April 2018

Cornwall IFCA is developing a new byelaw to manage the developing fishery for live wrasse which has emerged recently in Cornwall.

We are looking for your information and views.

Click here to download an information pack and questionnaire, you can print, and return the response by post or respond by email to enquiries@cornwall-ifca.gov.uk

Cornwall IFCA is working to a short timescale to try to develop this byelaw in as short a time as possible, and as such we would like all responses to this pack by Sunday 29 April 2018, which does not give you long.

We will be holding two public events where you can come and discuss the proposals for the byelaw. The events will start at 16:00 and you can drop in at any time to discuss the byelaw privately with senior officers involved in its development. There will be a short presentation at each of the meetings at 18:30 if you would like some more information on the wrasse fishery in general.

Meetings open 16:00-20:00 with a short presentation at 18:30.

25 April 2018: Liskerrett Community Centre, Varley Lane, Liskeard, PL14 4AP.

26 April 2018: Pengegon Institute Community Hall, Lower Pengegon, Pengegon, Camborne, Cornwall, TR14 8RX.

There will also be other opportunities in the future to be involved in formal consultations on this byelaw as it develops.
