Fal Fishery

The native oyster and mussel fisheries in the Fal are under the management of Cornwall IFCA and are licenced by Cornwall IFCA through the Fal Fishery order. Licensee interests are represented by the Fal Fisheries Management Committee.

If you wish to collect oysters or mussels from within the area covered by the Order, including by hand gathering, you will need to apply to Cornwall IFCA for a licence, and will need to make monthly returns detailing your catch.
