The native oyster and mussel fisheries in the Fal are under the management of Cornwall IFCA and are licenced by Cornwall IFCA through the Fal Fishery order.
If you wish to collect oysters or mussels from within the area covered by the Order, including by hand gathering, you will need to apply to Cornwall IFCA for a licence.

Fal Fishery Management Committee
The Fal Fishery Management Committee exists to discuss improvement and management matters for oysters and mussels within the regulated fishery and make recommendations to Cornwall IFCA who are the regulating body for the fisheries.
The committee is made up of 14 members.
